About the book:

Lightning flashed outside and Julian swore he saw movement out of the corner of his eye. But no one was there. He looked around as panic was starting to set in. He felt like a little boy again, lost in the dark halls of his prison.

Runaway orphan, Julian has set off to leave his old life behind. However, he has no idea of the peril that awaits him. After becoming tied to the great Alexand Silverback - one of the most feared Sorcery Inquisitors in all of Miranel - the young lad begins his journey of fulfilling his greatest desire, to live the life his friend couldn't. But all his plans are put on hold when he encounters a cunning creature with the ability to slip into a persons dreams and cause mayhem. Will Julian survive the rise of the Darkeners?
